OpenGround Cloud Data Collector Released on Google Play Store

Hi Mark, can you check to see if you are able to install the app through the Play Store on the device. I had this problem on my machine, not being able to send to my device, however I was able to install by searching and installing from the Play Store. If that doesnt help, then let us know and we can investigate further.

Hi Mark, can you find out if you are using a 32bit or 64bit Android install? From looking at the specs of the device it should have a 64bit processor but the OS might not be. if you install an app such as AIDA64 from the play store, then click on inspect, you should get more info on the device....

The Kernal Architecture is the important bit, if this ends in 64 then you have a 64bit OS and we should be able to install the program. If it ends in something else then the bit rate of android will be the issue.

I assume this means that the app wont run on Samsung Tab Active 2's
Can Bentley provide a list of approved devices which I can choose from?

Looks like that might not be quite what we need to confirm (Apologies, that is my mistake). Please could you goto the CPU tab and send us a screenshot of the following;

Essentially we would need ARM64-v8a under Supported 64-bit ABIs (ABI stands for Application-Binary-Interface) to be listed for us to be able to support that device.

I have asked the management team about a support device list. Will get back to you on that when I hear back.

Just to add to this. We have done some further testing and can confirm that the play store should provide access to the app in Australia and that if your tablet is not compatible it wont show. Therefore, unfortunately your tablet isnt compatible with Collector. We do not have a supported device list but you can find our minimum specifications at the following link;

My tablet doesn't have arm64-v8a anywhere.
