Is it possible to import GINT .glb datasets directly into Openground? Import mapping appears to be blank.
When I go to Import Data > gINT > Mapping, the Mapping dropdown menu is blank.
How can I import gINT datasets?
Hi Devin, we do have a Wiki explaining how to create a mapping file to import gINT .gpj data. As Mel noted, it is more of an advanced task so it is recommended to contact our Consultancy team to get assistance creating your first mapping file.
Jesse, I couldn't understand a way to create a GINT map from that video. We ended up having to manually manipulate a GINT dxf which was pretty laborious.
OK, it sounds like you may have been trying to do something different, so that link might not have been relevant.
The "Import Data" option allows you to import data from gINT GPJ's to OpenGround. You need a "mapping file" (which is what would appear in that Mapping dropdown) to map data from your gINT structure (data template) to the OpenGround database structure. That link explains how to create one of those mapping files.
It sounds like you were doing something involving a gINT library and map/dxf which sounds like a different workflow, and there probably isn't an off the shelf option for that. Glad you got it sorted though (although with a bit of effort) .
