When I import a .dxf under the Mapping menu item in Professional, the import fails with the message "Name is not available". I am doing this work at the Project level, not at the System level. I do have an imported dataset with the same name I am using here in another project, but because it is also at the Project level, it seems there should be no conflict.

I get the same message when using the same name (.dxf file) in 2 different projects. I'll have to get with our dev team to determine why this is not allowed. It may be by design or something they could change. I suspect if you give it a unique name it will no longer fail with "name is not available"

Thanks for the quick reply. I did try it later with unique names in the two projects and it imported just fine.
