Table Object Design Font Size Bug

Hi all,

I ran into a bug while designing a table for a borehole log template. Has anyone else run into this problem and were you able to resolve it?

Problem description: Table font size does not conform to selected font sizes within Table Object. It appears that OpenGround just selects the maximum font size that would fit within the column (or cell) width/height that you provide. See screenshots below below. Note this data is dummy data.

Thanks,

  • Hi Joseph, I tested this but wasn't able to repeat that. If I adjust the text through Styles in the Tables Column window it changes to what was set regardless of the column size. If you have further problems with this though, please create a Service Request and we can investigate it further.

  • Hi Martyn,

I tried copying the table to both the header and footer, and the issue still occurs. Perhaps it's an issue that only occurs on the version of Template Studio (v10.0.1.434) that I'm using. This is a rather serious issue for us, as there's no other way to create tables on Template Studio, and will therefore impact creation of many templates.

I also tried using an expression to create tables, however Aggregate / AggregateAll retrieve table values out of order.

I have not submitted a Service Request yet, is this the right webpage? https://apps.bentley.com/srmanager/ProductSupport I'm unable to find OpenGround Cloud or OpenGround Template Studio in the dropdown menus for the service request form.

    Thanks for your help Martyn

  • After working together with Martyn, we determined that this is not a bug. OpenGround table object font sizes print to a different (larger) font size than all other objects in OpenGround. If this larger font size doesn't fit within the header cell constrained dimensions, OpenGround automatically shrinks that text, as shown in the examples above. Because data shown in the columns is not restrained by height, the data text wraps rather than shrinks. When the font size of everything was reduced to font size 5, all text in the table printed at the same size.

Screenshots below show that table objects have their own unique font size that doesn't agree with other font sizes selected in OpenGround.
