Hi Martyn,

So we’ve got a response from DEFRA which isn’t very helpful.   They can get the links to work in QGIS so they can’t see why there would be anything different in OpenGround.

Could it be anything to do with the markup language at the end of the end of the link:

Hello Michael

I have heard back from the GIS Team and they have reported;

We can’t comment on that software as it’s not something we have ever used, but in QGIS I can confirm the example given does work.

We can only suggest that you double check the WMS link is correct in their software:

Thanks

Kind regards,

Benjamin

Hi Mark,

I’m using some software called Openground.  Until around three/four weeks ago we had the ability to view the DEFRA data without any difficulty, but since then we’ve started to get the following error:

If I click on the tooltip it gives the following message:

It is just the DEFRA data, everything else is displaying fine.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your recent query.

Can we ask what software you are using? Also any screenshots of the error messages would be useful.

Kind regards
Mark

We had been able to see this layer until about three weeks ago, but now we've started to get an error message that says that "this layer has no description". We are still able to see BGS (British Geological Society) datasets, but all of the EA datasets seem to have stopped working. Would you be able to help please?
