I'm trying to edit the header for my boring profiles to something different than the default "knx_strip_header". Right now, the only attributes that seem to get imported from OpenGround are the strip_offset, strip_chainage, strip_groundlevel, strip_finaldepth, strip_northing, strip_easting, strip_locationId, and strip_locationtype.
I would like to be able to place the latitude and longitude in the header, as well as the date the boring was drilled, but that information doesn't seem to get imported into Civil3D from OpenGround. Is there a way to add these things to the header and have them dynamically populate?
Hi Dylan,
The list of articles linked on the page below should help you edit the Strip Headers. Search - Bentley CommunitiesMarty
I'm aware of these, but the Civils extension only seems to pull out certain attributes that can be plotted as part of the header. For our use, it makes more sense to put latitude and longitude on our logs instead of northing/easting, but lat/long isn't part of the attributes list when you try to change it. Only the items I have bracketed below actually have data in them.
I believe the attributes are hard-coded as Easting / Northing with the option of using a local X/Y/Z grid instead of a standard projection.
I believe if you set the matching coordinate system in Civil3D that you have in OpenGround you can have it label the points in a Lat/Long format rather then Easting/Northing. However that would only work for Plan View labels, for strips I don't believe it will work as the Point Location and the strip are tied together by the extension and aren't really related with Civil3D itself.
