We have a user who cannot seem to connect to the project manager interface through the Civil 3D extension. He has access to the OpenGround ribbon within Civil 3D. When "Connect' is clicked, an authenticating window appears for a brief moment and then disappears. He has all the same updates as I do and yet I have no issues. We have tried the BlueBeam uninstall/reinstall approach with no luck. We also elevated him to an Openground Adminstrator to see if that did anything, but no change. I do recall that I used to be able to give users access rights to the various OpenGround applications through the old Admin Portal, but that is no longer an option, so I don't know how to check that. We are still running on the older licensing system that uses floating cloud licenses (not the Virtuoso licenses). Should we try uninstalling/reinstalling Civil 3D?
Any suggestions?
Hi Tim
What company do you work for please, I can then check on the user entitlements. Also can you provide the name of the user please
Kind regards
Mel
Company is Weston & Sampson and username is WuebboltS. If it helps, we performed a test where I provided the user with my OpenGround login credentials and he provided me with his. When I logged in with his credentials on my computer, everything was fine. When he logged in with my credentials on his computer, same issue. This leads us to believe that it may be an issue with his Civil 3D installation that might be corrected with an uninstall / reinstall of Civil 3D itself. What do you think?
Can you try the below please
Uninstall the Civils Ext, run Autodesk Civils then install the Civil Ext again this should then do a 2nd stage installation
Please let me know if that helps
How do I uninstall the Civils extension? Is there a way to do that from the Launcher?
