Got an idea on how to enhance OpenGround? Share it with us.

On this Portal you can submit new ideas to help us advance OpenGround and influence product roadmaps. Ideas can be anything from a minor enhancement to a new product capability so share your valuable detailed insights in the form below for us to evaluate.

    Ideas Portal “FAQ”

Why do we encourage customers to now submit suggestions to the OpenGround Ideas Portal instead of through the Support Channels?

In order to serve you better and simply the way we manage feature requests, we are allowing users to submit product ideas and suggestions through the OpenGround Ideas Portal. In addition, using the Ideas Portal has the following benefits:

    • A centralized and monitored route where users can submit ideas and suggestions at any time
    • Enables the Product Team to stay in tune with the users and how they want to see OpenGround develop and improve

Why this change of process for enhancement submission?

Our Support Team remains focused on assisting you when OpenGround is not performing as expected with workarounds or troubleshooting. While our support team will perform an initial triage on items that are clearly defects/bugs and potentially enhancement duplicates, if your request is not a bug, then there is a requirement for you to raise your inquiry as an idea rather than via a support ticket; this ensures that you are informed of any comments or request for more information on your idea from the Product Team directly.

The OpenGround Ideas Portal thus allows you, the user, the raise enhancement requests directly to the Product teams and in turn allows the Product teams to evaluate those requests and provide timely feedback to you directly. This ensure the visibility of your enhancement request when we are planning for our product roadmaps.

What types of ideas should I submit?

The OpenGround Ideas Portal is an area of users to submit ideas on improving OpenGround’s in areas of user experience, functionality gaps, or desirable platform features that do not currently exist.

When adding an Idea it is important to focus on the “why” of your request. Our Product Team are focused on the “why” behind the problem you want to solve as it’s understanding is crucial to finding a solution to your problem even if it looks slightly different to the one you have proposed.

Bugs/defects and other issues that require troubleshooting should not be submitted to the Ideas Portal and go through the appropriate support channels.

What happens to my product ideas?

Your idea is routed directly to the OpenGround Product Team. This ensures that you get to shape and influence future releases of our software. Each idea is reviewed within 30 days and is prioritized based on a variety of factors, including product strategy, complexity, current roadmap, user value and urgency. If we require additional information for our decision, and you’ve indicated you would be open to be contacted, we will engage with you directly to discuss your idea.

While we welcome ideas and suggestions, we have implemented a thorough internal review process to ensure that only the most valuable and highest impact ideas are implemented.

    Will my idea be implemented?

The OpenGround Product Team will review submitted ideas regularly and will evaluate the idea based on potential business/user value, alignment with product strategy and feasibility. While we can’t promise all ideas will become a reality, we are committed to keep your ideas in mind when building and improving OpenGround.

Why was my idea not implemented?

The OpenGround Product Team has reviewed your idea and deemed that it would not be added to our product roadmap due to lack of support in key areas such as strategic alignment, value and feasibility. You will be contacted to let you know why this idea has not been implemented.
