How to edit the data at the top of a strip

    Question

Is is possible to customise the appearance of log strips using the Civil 3D Extension?

    Answer

If you draw a profile and wish to edit or delete the data that is displayed at the top of the strip please follow the guide below.

First of all, draw your profile as normal.

Once you have drawn the profile, from "Toolspace" expand Point>Label Styles

right click on the "KNX_Strip_Header" and select "Edit"

This will give you the following window

In this window, you have a "Component name" picklist. From here you can select the item you wish to edit/remove

For example, if you wanted to completely remove the chainage you select "Strip_Chainage" from the picklist and then select the button with the red cross as shown below and then select "ok" or "apply".

If you wish to just edit one of the items you can do so from the general and text properties. which you can also see in the above image.

If you want to change it for another value held in the database you can do this by clicking in the value box for "Contents", then select the browse option.

after clicking on the browse option you will get this window.

From here you can select what you wish to show from the "Properties" picklist. You have a lot of options to pick from as shown below.

You then edit the properties to show the value as you need it and select "ok".
