    How to Import Created Strips

    Question

    How do I import the strips that I have created inside of Template Studio into the Civil 3D Extension?

    Answer

    To import a strip you have created using Template Studio please work through the steps below.

    Firstly you will need to have created a strip in Template Studio which can be imported. If you cont have this please review the relevant section within the Template Studio guide.

    Once you have a strip and ready to import to AutoDesk Civil 3D, please open the Civil 3D Extension, login and select your project. This will then plot the locations in your drawing as normal.

    From the ribbon select "Styles"

    Highlight a "Current Style" and select "Copy"

    Highlight the new Current Style and in the column for Profile strip, select the down arrow and select "create new"

    After selecting "Create New" you will get the following window

    Give the strip profile a name and from the "Template" Picklist select your section template that contains your strip. After this select "Save" and then "Save" again in the "Styles" window.

    You can now draw your section/profile and in the final step where you can adjust the buffer width you can select the "Style" that contains your custom strip as shown in the image below;
