    Can The Strips be Customised

    Question

Is it possible to customise how the strips are displayed within Civil 3D?

    Answer

There are a number of ways in which the Strips can be customised using the Civil 3D Extension. You are able to Adjust strip Width, Text size, Offset Position and change the hatch patterns using a couple of the Extensions Tab menus.

    Explanation

Civil 3D comes with preset Hatch Patterns banded by Geology and a set of pre-configured Strip templates. To edit the appearance you can do this easily using the Styles and Hatches Managers respectively.

The Hatches Manager lists every Hatch Pattern used and it is from here you can change the colour of the hatches which are represented in the strip. The Styles Manager is used to change the Width of the strip the test size and the position on the drawing for the pre-configured Strip templates.

    Further Information

For an in depth look at how to do this please go to Civil 3D How To Section and search for "How to customise a Strip in Civil 3D"
