What are the constituent elements of a Profile View in the Civil 3D Extension?

Product(s): OpenGround Cloud Civil 3D Extension
      Version(s): 1
      Area: Profile Management

    Question

The equivalent to a Quick Section in OpenGround Cloud is the geotechnical profile view. Understanding how they are made up and the difference between each of the elements can help in determining the correct method to amend or refine them. What are these elements and what needs to be fed into a Profile View in order to control the output.

    Explanation

The following recording discusses the elements of a profile view, defining much of the terminology. This is taken both from the perspective of the display of the output and the input which can be used to define the Profile View itself.

Note that experienced Civil 3D users are likely to be familiar with many of the concepts discussed already.
