Problems which arise with connecting to the Launcher or the connected applications can often be resolved by restarting the Launcher Service. Ordinarily, the Launcher Service should run automatically. However, under some circumstances (typically associated with internal IT infrastructure) there can be situations where it can fail to run correctly and so require a restart.
As the Launcher Service is packaged with the Launcher installer uninstalling and then reinstalling can prove helpful. Note that Windows Administrator rights will be required as they will to perform a service restart:
1. Right click the Windows task bar and select Task Manager.
2. Select the Services tab on the far right.
3. Order the list of services by name or scroll down to locate the OpenGroundLauncherService on the list.
4. Right click the OpenGroundLauncherService and select Restart.
The Service will then report that it has stopped before switching back to running. Once this has completed close the Task Manager and run the Launcher/connected apps again.
