What is the purpose of the Historic Projects grid in OpenGround Cloud Professional?

    Question

The Historic Projects grid sits at the same level as the Location Details grid in the project explorer. Although available much as any other grid it is linked to a specific area of functionality.

    Answer

The Historic Projects grid is populated with the header data associated with the original file for AGS downloaded from the BGS website. It is therefore only relevant at this time to UK users. More information can be found on the BGS webinar found on this page : https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotechnical1/w/wiki/47405/keynetix-webinar-archive (Webinar 38)

    Explanation

The AGS files stored on the BGS resource represent historical site investigations, usually undertaken by a third party. Therefore, the details of the project they are associated with are unlikely to be consistent with the current project in OpenGround Cloud. Therefore, the details from the original file are written as a reference to the Historic Projects grid:

Within this grid the 'Reference' column is worthy of particular note. It is used as the basis of a prefix which is then attached to the location AGS downloaded from the BGS:
