    How does the End of Borehole Text Work?

    Question

    How does the End of Borehole test work in Template Studio?

    Answer

    The text for "End Of Borehole" in the past was changed from a simple text box to a box that accepts expressions. This means that the default expression used will show the final depth to how many decimal places you have in the data. For example, if your final depth is "10.000", it will display all 3 decimal places.

    Explanation

    To find this and edit it, open your template in Template Studio and select "Depth Columns"

    Then in the "End of Borehole" box edit the expression as suggested below.

    The default expression is

    • 'End of Borehole at ' + [LocationDetails.FinalDepth] + 'm'

    You can now edit this epression to show whatever decimal places you would like. For example the expression below will show the result with 2 decimal places;

    • 'End of Borehole at ' + fixed([LocationDetails.FinalDepth],2,false) + 'm'

    The "2" in the expression is what tells the data to show 2 decimal places, so if you wish to show 1 decimal place change the "2" for a "1" and so on.
