The default expression that is used in Template Studio to bring out the geology description also brings out the geology code. We are often asked how to make this code be bold so that it stands out. We can do this using the text style function.
The default expression that comes out of the geology description item in Template Studio is as follows;
[StratumDetails.Description]+if(len([StratumDetails.Description]) > 0 and len([StratumDetails.GeologyCode]) > 0,'',' ')+'('+[StratumDetails.GeologyCode]+')'
The part that is in red above is the part that will bring out the geology code.
To change this to bold we will place this inside of the textstyle function as below;
textStyle('('+[StratumDetails.GeologyCode]+')','900','Normal','000000')
This will effect only the text above, the rest of the description will appear as normal. The full expression will be as below;
[StratumDetails.Description]+if(len([StratumDetails.Description]) > 0 and len([StratumDetails.GeologyCode]) > 0,'',' ')+textStyle('('+[StratumDetails.GeologyCode]+')','900','Normal','000000')
This would appear as this on the template;
