Retrieving the log or the backup file including photos

When you add any location and capture photo of the location it will sync back to OpenGround.

However, if sync did not work you can create its backup, including photos. This backup can then be used by our support team to help you retrieve the collected information, making sure nothing is lost along the way.

    Process to create the Backup:

    1. Go to left hand drawer section of the application and click on Backup.
    2. When you click, it will ask for ‘Include photo in the backup file’. Click on Yes will create the Backup.

    4. In the tablet it will create the backup of the location data with photo you have captured.

    5. It will create the Backup and logs folder on this path Android/data/com.bentley.openGround.cloud.datacollector/file

    Known Issue: -

If the tablet is attached to the system and you creates the backup then you might not able to see the ‘Backup’ folder instantly.

But if you disconnect and reconnect the tablet to system then you should see the ‘Backup’ folder on the mentioned location.

Also, on some devices, you may not be able to view the required folder. It may be required to connect the tablet to a computer, and allow the computer to view the files on the device where you can then browse through and view the required files. It may also be necessary to change your tablet settings to "Show Hidden Files".
