Components can be transferred from an external file, which in most cases will be a Configuration File (*.hbc). One notable exception is the coordinate system file (*.hbs). Typically, such files can be downloaded from the Bentley KnowledgeBase and then imported to provide one or more new coordinate sets.
Components can be imported into a Configuration Pack or a project. Once imported into the Configuration Pack, the imported component will then be available to all projects based on this Pack.
To import the required components, select the Import Components option from the Configuration Tools Ribbon. The Import components into configuration pack dialog will display:
Browse for the file (.hbc), containing the components to be imported and click Import.
