Renaming Columns

When OpenGround imports the data to Openground the field names default to Tablename.field name and this can get difficult to type or reference.

Field names can be changed on each display graphic by selecting "Rename for this Visual" from the data properties box on each visual.  However, is much easier and useful to rename the field within the data table.

To change a column name follow the steps below

• Open the data view by clicking on the data view lcon on the lefthand side of the screen and then selecting the required data table from the right-hand list.

• Select the Column heading you want to change and select "Rename" from the right-click menu.  The column heading will now be editable and you can type in the new name.  All equations that you have created that point to this column will now reference the new name.
