When working with data grids it can be useful to work with a prefiltered selection of the data, and also edit and add new data with this filter already applied. This is the concept behind grid views, which essentially give a cut down view of an existing table within OpenGround Professional based on a picklist value within that table.
Grid views behave and act the same as a normal table would, including appearing in the project explorer but any calculations in the model or references in templates or other components will use the parent table and not the grid view.
The example in this user guide will document the useage of the PID and FID grid views available within some of the configuration packs and are based on the Environmental - Data table, where the table will be filtered to show a grid for only PID or FID as required.
