    Creating Filtered Grid Views

Before users can see and use grid views within Professional, they will firstly need to be setup within the Project or at Configuration Pack level using the Configuration Tools - Manage Model interface. From within this interface, select the required table and the Manage Grids button will become available.

When opening this dialogue, it will display the properties of the standard grid will be shown. Either the dropdown menu at the top for Grid Name can be changed to select a separate grid view and then press Edit, if one exists, or a new can be created by pressing the Create button.

The Edit Grid dialogue will then appear where a Grid Name and a Filter Header can be selected. This is essentially, the table, and the field within the table which will be used to filter the grid. This field can be any picklist field within that table.

Finally, a filter value can be selected. This will be any picklist value that is available within that fields picklist group. In this example, the Parameter field has been selected as the field to be filtered and the grid will only show data from the parent grid where the picklist value is 'FID'
