    Using Grid Views within a Project

    There are 2 different types of grid views within a project in OpenGround. There are the standard grid views, which offer a view of the standard table, with all data, but with all (or a selection) of the columns shown to the user. Every table within Openground, that is set to Active will have these grids available for a user to enter, edit and view data within (depending on their access rights).

    Filtered Grid views expand on a standard grid view by filtering the data in the grid based on a single picklist value. In the example below, the Environmental - Data data is the whole grid, as it is by default, and the PID and FID grids are filtered views of this.

    When a value is entered into either the PID or FID grids, the data is actually entered into the Environmental - Data grid (although this may need to be refreshed to show new data) and shown in the relevant filtered grid as well. When entering data into these filtered grids, the filtered value is automatically applied to the new value, in this instance, PID has been applied to the new row.

    In the example below, a further entry has been added to the PID grid and this updates both grids as shown;
