The Civil Center column is used in conjunction with Civil Strips and will force the selected column to be the one that is used to define the horizontal alignment of the column in Civil 3D.
If this setting is not selected for any of the columns in the strip then a column that references the Field Geological Descriptions table will be used, else it will try and center the column.
If this setting is selected then depending on if the orientation is set as center, left or right, it will force the strip to align on this column instead.
