Scatter Graphs will simply plot a specific point symbol at the correct point at the graph whenever there is a record to do so.
There is also an option to select the X and Y scales of the point symbol that's plotted. This is based on the size of the original point symbol, so some trial and error maybe needed to get the symbol to appear at the correct size.
