    Turn on Error Logging for the gINT for ArcGIS Toolbar

    Background

    In order to troubleshoot a problem with the gINT for ArcGIS Toolbar, Technical Support may ask for an error log.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. With ArcMap closed, create a file called rundebug.txt.  In Windows Vista, 7 and 8, put it in 

      C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Bentley\gINT\Settings.

      In Windows XP, put it in  

      C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Bentley\gINT\Settings.

    2. Open ArcMap.  Do the steps needed to create the error/problem.  Close any error messages.  Close ArcMap.

    3. In Windows Vista, 7 and 8, the log will be created in 

      C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Bentley\gINT\System\Settings.

      In Windows XP, in  

      C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Bentley\gINT\System\Settings.

      It will be called gintlog_transmit_to_gint_product_tsg.txt.  Send the log to Technical Support, as requested.

    4. Delete rundebug.txt.
