I can't see the SQL server from my PC

    Product(s): gINT Professional Plus
    Version(s): V8i and newer
    Environment: N\A
    Area: Project Database
    Subarea: N\A

    Problem Description

I cannot open our SQL enterprise database.  The server it is on does not appear in the Select A Database dialog.

    Steps to Resolve

On the server that is hosting the gINT SQL database:

    1. On the firewall, port 1433 must be open
    2. In SQL Server\SQL Configuration Manager, be sure that TCP/IP is enabled

    3. Under Administrative Tools\Services, be sure that the SQL Server Agent is running
