When plotting data markers, the data used can be posted to each plotted data point.Data can be posted in a number of ways and in a number of report styles and entity types. In a standard graph or log Plot vs. Depth column, data can be posted in a user-selected position relative to the plotted point:
Related values can be displayed with the plotted point:
The shape of the data marker can also be used to convey information:
Following is an interesting and effective way to post information (sample output courtesy of Leeke Associates). This is a part of a site map report where results of tests on all chemicals are summarized. Red indicates that there was at least one test in the hole for any chemical that failed, blue indicates that all tests for all tested chemicals were within acceptable limits, and gray indicates that no tests were run for any chemical in the hole. Similar plots can be made for specific chemicals:
