You can use the built-in programming language for gINT Rules to add menu commands and sub-menus to the Add-Ins menu in the Input and Data Design applications. With these added menu options, multiple-step processes — that would normally require training a person to perform — now require only the click of a menu and answering some simple questions. This embeds custom, expert knowledge into your software. In this example, added menu commands for two additional sub-menus (Calculations and Procedures) are available by selection from the Add-Ins menu in Input:
These added menu commands are managed with choices made in a simple interface called the Add-In Manager, which is called from the gINT Rules menu:
The Add-Ins menu can appear in Input or Data Design, or in both applications. (If it is available in Data Design, it will appear in the Library Data tab only.) A gINT Rule listed in the Add-Ins menu will be executed upon selection from the menu or sub-menu, rather than when a programmed triggering event occurs. A useful selection of sample gINT Rules and specialty applications is available from the Web. Many gINT users who have never programmed previously start by loading a sample or application which is close to a need they have, then modify it to meet their specific requirements.
