    Add AutoCAD Hatches

The SYMBOL DESIGN Hatches tab allows you to import AutoCAD® Hatches (*.pat) files so that your gINT patterns are exact matches to those used in your AutoCAD® drawings.

Hatches are one of the building blocks for Composite Symbols in gINT. Just like a rock is made up of one or more minerals, Composite Symbols are made up of one or more individual symbols. Hatches, Tiles, Bitmap Fills and Solids are the individual symbols available in gINT.

The TILL symbol is composed of three tiles that repeat across the width of the area being filled.

The design and behavior of gINT hatches matches the hatches used by AutoCAD®, and then adds several additional capabilities. Like Tiles, Hatches fill an output region with a pattern that is composed of lines and/or dots.

The 3 SOLID LINES hatch is defined as three line segments.

Tiles and Hatches are very similar, but there are two main differences. Tiles have a much wider range of symbols that can be created because Hatches just repeat lines. Hatches, however, can be rotated and Tiles cannot.
