How To Import a Component File and Delete a Component File

    Explanation

This article will explain how to import a component into either a configuration pack or a project, and then how to delete a component.

    Process

Importing a Component File (HBC) into a Configuration Pack

    • Start HoleBASE SI and login. You will see the Project List displayed in a grid on the screen.
    • Click on the Configurations Packs icon on the Manage section of the Ribbon to display the list of configuration packs.

    • Select the Configuration Pack from the list in the grid and click the Import Components icon on the Manage section of the Ribbon.

    • Select the HBC file that you have been sent. If you have been sent more than one then you will need to repeat steps 3 and 4 for each HBC file

    • The component will now be available to every project that uses this configuration pack.

If you want to load the configuration into just a single project then use the steps below

Importing a Component File (HBC) into a project

    • Start HoleBASE SI and login. Open the project you wish to add the component to.
    • Click on the Configurations ribbon
    • Click on the Import Components icon on the Manage section of the Ribbon.

    • Select the HBC file that you have been sent. If you have been sent more than one then you will need to repeat steps 3 and 4 for each HBC file

    Viewing and Deleting components

All the components added to a configuration pack or project can be viewed by selecting the Manage Components icon on the Manage section of the Ribbon. Items can be deleted by selecting them and click the Delete button.

Note that for components imported into a Configuration pack the delete button is greyed out if you are viewing this form at project level. Configuration Pack level components can only be deleted at Configuration pack level.
