ISPT - ISPT_NVAL will be ignored... message when importing data into HoleBASE SI

ISPT - ISPT_NVAL will be ignored... message when importing data into HoleBASE SI

    Issue Summary

The warning below is particularly when importing data for which only the N Value of Standard Penetration Tests has been recorded:

ISPT - ISPT_NVAL will be ignored because the destination is a calculated field

Similarly, the following similar message might also appear:

ISPT - ISPT_REP will be ignored because the destination is a calculated field

    Resolution

The ISPT N Value results are calculated from other data (blows per increment, penetration per increment, etc.) by default. Clearly this is not applicable where only the N Value has been recorded. Therefore, the behaviour of this column of data can be adjusted so it is no longer calculated. Follow the steps below:

    1. Please login to HoleBASE SI under a user account with Administrator privileges.

    2. Instead of opening a project please go to 'System | Configuration Packs'.

    3. Select the configuration pack upon which your project is based (probably 'Default' if nothing has been done with Configuration Packs previously).

    4. Select 'Configuration Tools | Manage Model'.

    5. Scroll down the list which appears and highlight 'Standard Penetration Test Results'. Click 'Edit'.

    6. A list of the columns which are present in the grid will then appear - highlight the option for 'N Value' and click 'Edit'.

    7. A new window will open. Note that the 'Active' option immediately below the Calculated Field header will be selected at the current time - deselect this option, then click 'Save'.

    8. Consider repeating steps 6 and 7 above for 'Reported Result'.

    9. Come out of the 'Manage Model' interface, saving the results, and then open the project and attempt the import once again. The data should now import as expected.

Note that the change outlined above will affect all projects based on the same configuration pack.
