    How To edit the Stratum Detail Descriptions to include the depth information

    Explanation

    In Template Studio it is possible to edit the text that appears next to the detail description texts that appear next to the main geological descriptions. By default, the detail description will be plotted with no further information. This can be changed through the use of an expression.

    To do this you will need to edit the expression that appears next to the 'DetailDescriptionExpression' in Template Studio.

    Process

    • Select the 'DescriptionBar' that is in the relevant column in the template.

    • Find the 'DetailedDescriptionExpression' expression box.

    • Enter the following text in the box;
      • text(fixed([StratumDetailDescriptions.DepthTop],2,false))+' to '+text(fixed([StratumDetailDescriptions.DepthBase],2,false))+'m - '+[StratumDetailDescriptions.Description]

    • Preview the template.

    Further Information

    The above expression is used to show the depths of the detailed information before the description. This can be adjusted to show further information as necessary including ground level etc.
