How Get Specimens to Appear Together on a Summary

Explanation

When you have multiple tests on the same sample you have specimens. When you have samples on a grouped summary with several tests, KeyLAB will not put them in specimen order by default. This guide will explain how you can get them on the same specimen and the correct levels on the summary.

Process

In KeyLAB the specimens are organised by the specimen reference. If you have the specimen reference data cell on you input sheet, KeyLAB automatically update that data cell as you have more than one test on the same sample.

If you don't want to KeyLAB to add these numbers search for how to switch off automatic specimen references.

You can put the depths in as well but the most important part is the specimen reference. The image below shows the specimens for BH02. The two Atterberg limits are on specimen 2 and 4.

If you report this on the standard summary the report will look like the example below.

If you wish to put all the specimens together on the output sheet you will need to go to the sheet designer. In the output sheet you will need to put the reference cells for specimen reference for each test. When you do this you will get all the specimens in the correct place.
