How to Use Text Boxes for Headers in KeyLAB

Sometimes making headers work with in the test report can be very challenging. We can use text boxes for keeping the formatting consistent.

Process

To convert a head to using text boxes you will need to make a place to the right hand side of the sheet for the KeyLAB reference cells for the data required.

In the image at the top there is the grid of all the information required for the header. We can then add the text boxes in the correct places. Once you have sorted this you can add equations. Within a text box you can add an equation by selecting the text box and clicking the formula bar at the top of excel.

Select the equations by clicking on the relevant cell on the right-hand grid.

The main advantage of this is that if the cells behind change size then the header would stay correctly formatted. You can also use other logic equation to select different information if required.
