How to Import and Merge Samples

    Question

How can you import a sample into KeyLAB 2 and merge it with an existing sample?

    Answer

When AGS data is received KeyLAB will check whether the samples in the file already exist in the system. If the data already exists then the data will be replaced with the data from within the AGS file.

    Explanation

It will do this by completing the following checks:-

    1) Is the SAMP ID for the sample already in use within any project in the KeyLAB system?

    2) Does a sample with the same Location ID, Top, Type and Reference number already exist in the project?

If the answer to either question is yes then the sample will be merged with the sample already in the system and any sample data will be replaced with the data from the AGS file.
