Haestad Product Line: New Version Release of SewerCAD V8i

We are happy to announce that Bentley SewerCAD V8i SELECTseries 3 is now available for download on selectservices.bentley.com (build 08.11.03.77). SELECT subscribers can log in and download the new product directly from Bentley's website. This is a significant release with a number of key new features. Highlights of these features include:

Common file format with other Bentley's sewer and stormwater products:

With SewerGEMS, SewerCAD, CivilStorm, and StormCAD's new unified file format, the .stws file replaces the .swg, swc, csd and .stc files. This common file format makes modeling teams’ workflows more efficient, since a model created in any one of these products can now be seamlessly opened and edited in another.

Updated support for MicroStation and AutoCAD platforms:

You can run SewerCAD from within MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 3) or AutoCAD 2012 and 2013 (32- and 64-bit).Note: An AutoCAD license is required to integrate with AutoCAD. If you don't have an AutoCAD license, you can choose to run StormCAD in its stand-alone mode. In addition, in order to integrate with a 64-bit version of AutoCAD, the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office is required.

i-model publishing:

SewerCAD can now publish i-models (containers for the open exchange of infrastructure information) in 2D or 3D.

LID elements:

Low-impact development (LID) controls can now be analyzed in SewerCAD.

Enhanded element type support:

SewerCAD now supports ponds as elements. SewerCAD has the ability to handle all element types, gravity as well as pressure. SewerCAD now supports inlet controlled culverts.

New gutter shapes, v-shaped and parabolic gutters, are now available in CivilStorm. A new gutter and cross section catalog referencing is now supported in CivilStorm.

Keyword search in property grid:

Users can find the property they want quickly in the property grid using keyword search.
