Quickly Fill In Missing Elevations with Element Property Inferencing

Part of the Hydraulics and Hydrology Video Series (more info)

Have you ever encountered a situation where some pipe or node elevation data is missing and needs to be populated? Did you know that the Element Property Inferencing tool (available in SewerGEMS, SewerCAD, StormCAD and CivilStorm) can quickly interpolate these elevations for you, and can even create new pipes and nodes between existing known structures? To learn more, watch this short video and check out the additional resources in the "See Also" section. The video covers the following:

  • Using the "Follow Existing Path" option to interpolate ground and invert elevations on existing elements.
  • Using the "Layout New Elements" option to create new pipes and nodes between existing elements.
  • Viewing the updated elevations in the Property Grid

Applicable products/versions:

  • SewerGEMS, SewerCAD, StormCAD and CivilStorm V8i SELECTseries 2 and higher
