Unit Sanitary (Dry Weather) Loads

I have created a sanitary dry weather hydraulic sewer model. I want to compare the Unit Sanitary (Dry Weather) Loading with all the 4 data parameters.

i.e. 1) Area Based 2) Count Based 3) Discharge Based and 4) Population-Based. using Scenarios and Alternatives.

I am unable to understand how should I load the system the with above mentioned 4 type, in SewerCAD.

Please help me to take it further.

  • Hello Videet,

To compare the dry weather loads with 4 types of unit sanitary loads, you need to work with Sanitary loading alternative.

Create 4 different scenarios and 4 different Sanitary loading alternatives, and assign particular alternative to each scenario.

Say for area based loading you will have separate sanitary loading alternative and the corresponding scenario. Please make sure that when you are giving the sanitary loads for area based, you are making the corresponding scenario as active scenario and have assigned area based sanitary loading to that scenario. Same applied for other loading types.

Please read more about scenarios and alternatives, using the link mentioned below.

  • Thank you Sushma.

I am done with the scenario and alternative management.
My point of question is what is the technique of assigning the load to all the 4 parameters.
How all the 4 (Area, Count, Discharge and Population) differs from eath other technically?
  • In SewerCAD there is a help document titled "Types of Unit Sanitary (Dry Weather) Loads" that defines each unit sanitary load type. To assign the loads in bulk please have a look at the Loadbuilder tool and the different methods that it can use to assign loads. The linked to wiki's and the help document titled "LoadBuilder Wizard" explain how to enter demands using the tool, choose which method works best for the model being worked on given the data you have, and troubleshoot Loadbuilder if there is a problem with the data you have entered.
