Hello,
I am working on building a model of large water supply system of a municipal corporation. I manually building a model in absence of GIS .shape data. So, i have some difficulties selecting the components (eg. junctions, and valves) on a particular diameter pipe in one go. for example, I have 500 no.s of valves in total network of different diameter range, and want to assign diameter to each valve in one go with respect to diameter of pipe. I could not do through query, selection set etc. So anybody please tell me how to select those components?
Hello Naresh,
To help you with this, we would need more explanation, to which valves do you want to assign the diameters, is it isolation valve or other type?
Do you mean you want to filter say 200 mm diameter pipes in one go and then change the diameters of valves according to that?
You can filter on the diameter of pipes in the flex table for a particular diameter. Right click on the column>Filter>Custom>Select particular diameter.

Are you saying that you'd like a way to assign the diameter of all valves based on the diameter of the adjacent pipe? If so, what type of valve are you using? If you're using isolation valves, see below wiki article:
Change the diameter of all isolation valve to match the diameter of its referenced pipe

I completely re-wrote the aforementioned wiki article, to include better steps to do this for both isolation valve, and other valve types like GPV. Screenshot examples are also included.
Note that if you have used GPVs throughout your model to represent isolation valves, you can reduce the number of pipes by converting them to isolation valves:
