Set Invert to Start/Stop problem

Hi

I have setup a gravity network in SewerGems, before doing analysis I active "Set Invert to Start/Stop" for all pipes,

But when I run the model I see in the FlexTable all of those are unchecked!

Please let me know what should I do?

Thanks

Hamid

  • Please compress the .stsw and stsw.sqlite files (or .stsw and .stsw.mdb files if using an older version) into a .zip file, then send it to us using the communities secure file upload. The process is explained at the following link.

    http://communities.bentley.com/help/w/be_communities_help/7079.be-communities-secure-file-upload

After uploading the file, reply to this thread with the file name.

  • Hello Hamid,

What calculation type have you set up Design or Analysis?
If set up to Analysis type you shouldn't have any problem in setting invert start/stop to true.
But if design calculation type is selected then conduit will be designed & start & stop inverts would be changed as per the design constraints.
So if you want to fix the start & stop inverts as per the inlet invert levels, you should set Design Conduit to false.
Or perform the design & change the calculation type to Analysis, set invert start/stop to true & analyze the system against the design constraints.
As suggested by Craig you can upload the model as well if this doesn't help.

  • Hamid,

I agree with Sushma's response where she says, ""

I also wanted to add that in your properties grid the "set invert to start? and set invert to stop?" options use a True and False drop down menu option where as in the Flextables this True and False option is represented by a check box. If the check box is checked the option is set to True and if unchecked the option is set to False. I just wanted to make sure that was clear and not confusing to you. (Thanks skam)

  • Hi Craig
Did you get the file that I sent you yesterday?
If not, please send me a request file in the sharefile to upload the file over, because I don't have "Communities Files" folder in the sharefile page and can't go through .
    I appreciate you in advance.

  • Hi Hamid,

Thank you for letting me know it was uploaded. I'll take a look now.
