 I was wondering if someone could --briefly-- explain the difference between Pondpack and Inroads S&amp;amp;S. I have just started using both and am trying to decide a path forward. In the end, I want to be able to compute (using SCS):

Your understanding is basically correct.  However, there are new capabilities for utility and drainage design that have been added to OpenRoads over the past year or so.  In Spring of 2014, we added Bentley Subsurface Utility Engineering and this past July we released OpenRoads SS4 which contains the integration of StormCAD into OpenRoads.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Bentley Subsurface Utility Engineering (commonly called SUE) are tools focused on 3D modeling, conflict management and space management.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The StormCAD Integration with OpenRoads is focused on hydraulic design of gravity drainage systems.  You may have also heard these tools referred to as SUDA (Subsurface Utility Design and Analysis).  And, while I us the term StormCAD here, it includes the capabilities of SewerCAD, CivilStorm and SewerGEMS as well.  The only reason I single out StormCAD when I have a conversation such as this is because StormCAD is probably the best known of these tools and also because there is an additional license required for the others.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So, what Tom is referring to is this integration of the H&amp;amp;H hydraulic calculation engines with the OpenRoads 3D design capabilities.  Thus, while creating the drainage networks, the 3D models are generated automatically, including use of rules based design engines available in OpenRoads.  And, you still have best in class hydraulic calculations.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
These tools would be a better investment in your training time than S&amp;amp;S and provide better results and capabilities all the way around.  For example, you mention the need to do pre and post development analysis for culverts and ponds.  These capabilities have been part of the CivilStorm and SewerGEMS toolset for ages and are widely recognized as best hydraulic analytics available anywhere and with OpenRoads you get these capabilities integrated with road and site design tools as well.&lt;br /&gt;

Which is along way of answering your question thus: I recommend using the OpenRoads  integrated Civil Storm tools for your design needs.  From your question I would assume that you already own InRoads Suite?  As such the StormCAD integrated capabilities are included in that license.  All you have to do is upgrade to 8.11.09.845.  For the pond and routing analysis capabilities, the CivilStorm license will have to be activated.  If you own some CivilStorm then you are set.  If you do not then your account manager can help you with licencing options.&lt;br /&gt;

In a side note: I am today, coincidentally, working on production of a video that documents the workflow for analyzing a culvert and pond in OpenRoads environment.  Once it is ready, I&amp;#39;ll get it posted on our wiki. &amp;quot;Open Roads&amp;quot; is just the overall name for the suite of Inroads Extensions, correct?  That would include Inroads Storm and Sanitary extension as the method for Hydrology calculations.  right? &lt;br /&gt;

There are so many products offered by Bentley. I&amp;#39;m just looking for 1 that will let me do the above. &lt;br /&gt;
