Hi,
I am a new user to WaterCad and I am trying to run a model which I have attached with this post. It runs fine but I see HGL to be constant in junction flex table. I would appreciate if someone could help me to know why it is calculated to be constant? Thank you.
Practice.zipYes I have loaded demands on junctions. Please find the attachment below.
Hello Azhar, The flow in the pipes is very small (0.049 L/s is a sample flow in one pipe). The demands in your model have units of m^3/day and have relatively low values. This is the ultimate cause of the issue. Low flows means low velocities, low velocities means the headlosses will be be relatively small as well. Try a larger flow value in the model and you will see headloss in pipes. For instance, if you multiply all of your values "Number of Unit Demands" in your Unit Demand Control Center by 10, you will see headloss in pipes with greater flow. Regards, Scott
