WaterGEMS Loadbuilder - Nearest Node goes to single node

Hi,

I am working with importing multiple loads into WaterGEMS using the nearest node function. My loads were set up by placing them into Google Earth to then make a Shapefile. My consumer types and demands are coming through fine; however, it is showing all of my loads going to a single node on the outer left-hand side of my model.

Do you have any suggestions to fix this?

Also, is there a PDF of a user guide I can download?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hannah,

The PDF of the users guide is located in the program files folder for WaterGEMS. On a 64 bit computer the default location is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\WaterGEMS" on a 32 bit computer the location is "C:\Program Files\Bentley\WaterGEMS".

Here's what I would suggest trying. Take the shapefile that you have with your demand data and place it as a background layer of your model file and see how it lines up. If it overlays just as you would expect it to then I'll probably need you to upload your model files along with the shapefile in order to help you out. If it doesn't overlay as you would expect it to and all the data in the shapefile is shifted to one side or the other then your best option is to open WaterGEMS for AutoCAD or WaterGEMS for ArcMap and make sure the coordinate systems for both the shapefile and the model file are correctly assigned before using Loadbuilder.

If you have trouble with my suggestion or still need some help after that there are two options for sharing your model files on Communities. If you would like the files to be visible to other members, compress the files into a zip file and upload them as an attachment using the ‘Advanced Reply editor’ before posting. If your data is confidential, you can follow the instructions in the link below to send it to us via Bentley Sharefile. Files uploaded to Sharefile can only be viewed by Bentley.
