Hello
I am working with SewerGEMS for Arcmap. I have some question related to this design:
1) while working with thiessen polygon I am not able to draw thiessen polygon directly. please suggest me step for draw polygone.
2) how to assign unit load at manhole directly defined area by thiessen polygone in arcmap?
Thank you
Rohit
Rohit,
1) The Thiessen method is just one method for generating service areas for nodes, and is calculated automatically by the tool. If you would like to manually draw your service area polygons, you'll need to do that in an external application such as ArcGIS and generate a shapefile, which can be used in Loadbuilder for the Service Area Layer. The key is that there needs to be a field in the polygon shapefile that links to the element ID of the nodes (manholes) in the model.
You can also generate service areas with the Thiessen method, then open the shapefile in another program like ArcGIS and modify the geometry of the polygons.
2) As mentioned in a similar thread yesterday, Loadbuilder imports loads as Base+Pattern. If you need to use Unit Loads, see the below article:
Using Unit Loads and Extreme Flow Factors after a LoadBuilder run
Here is another article worth considering:
Import loads from shapefile containing polygons with land use type and total population
