How to assign catchment area to outfall element Automatically?

There is not a way to automatically do what you are wanting to do. If you have selection sets of the catchments that go to each outfall element, you can do a global edit on the selection set and set the outflow element this way in the flex table.

So the fastest way i can think off is to select the catchment areas and global edit them.
There should be a faster way. Humm, i think there is a faster way to do it which i need to dig out.

Yes - we need to add a tool in the software to assign the catchment to the nearest outfall node. I will raise the priority on this.

In the meantime, if you have some GIS software you can do a spatial join to find the nearest outfall node and add that node's label to your catchment feature. Then you can use our ModelBuilder tool to import that label as the catchment outfall node.
