I have noticed that in SewerCad (Auto-design) the program change the diameter to larger pipes despite the pipe does not reach to full? i.e. we give minimum and maximum slope in the design constrains; and I expect the program to use higher slop (within the given ranges); doing that will maintain the diameter, in other word I do not expect the program to do the engineering in one click but at least this is major issue because when I increased the slope manually little bit I could keep the same diameter, so why the program does not increase the slope till the d/Dfull=80% and after that should change to the bigger size at minimum slope and start the new iteration..!!!!

Hi Jesse, I do remember this case in Storm and Mal was in the discussion, I am talking about SewerCAD and my concern is slightly different; I guess up-sizing the pipe should be done after two parameter I have mentioned in my post. I attached the model; even I am talking about any model because that happened in all new design projects, the function should be more aggressive to optimize the sizing. Thank you .... Mohamad
Hi Mohamad,
From the help article "Automatic Design":
In general, the design algorithm attempts to minimize excavation, which is typically the most expensive part of installing sewer piping and structures.
Are you requesting that minimizing pipe diameter has a higher design priority than minimizing cover? If so, I will submit a feature request on your behalf.
