Conduit Catalog

Hi,

Is it possible to specify a specific pipe diameter from a conduit catalog to a pipe For e.g., I have a network where I want the pipe size to be a minimum 315mm but in my catalog I have 250mm (because elsewhere in my network I want to size pipes at 250mm) so when I run my model the pipe size automatically sizes 250mm.

I understand for the whole model you can tick or untick the available to design in the conduit catalog but then my 250mm becomes 315mm or vice versa, the pipes I want to keep at 315mm become 250mm.

I could create an additional catalog and use that one for the 315mm pipes but I feel like this becomes messy. Any simpler solution?

Thanks in advance,

Colm.

  • Hello Colm,

If the Design alternative being used has "Design Conduit?" unchecked for a conduit, then you can manually specify the conduits' physical properties from the Conduit FlexTable. You may need to add the fields "Conduit Type", "Catalog Class", and "Size" to the FlexTable. Alternatively, conduits' "Design Conduit?" can be changed in the conduit properties dialog.
