PE Pipes

Question

Hi 
 Why Polyethylene (PE) pipes are not defined in WaterGEMS by default? Is it unhealthy or something else which must not be used for drinking water? 
 Who has information about using this kind of pipe or not using?

I think this is because the hydraulic properties of PVC and PE pipes are fairly similar. Depending on the study, they each tend to have Hazen Williams C-factors of approximately 140-150. So in most cases you could use the PVC setting for PE pipes without an issue. 
 
If you don't like that default value, or if you don't like having your PE pipes labeled as PVC, you can always define your own libraries with whatever values are suitable for your particular design parameters or field data.
