Dear All;
I am designing a combined network for sewer and storm and I have the following queries.
What is the best software to model this network ( Sewercad, stormcad or sewergems)?
what type of solver I shall use?
please if you can help me on this by design steps, i am really confused.
regards

Sayed, This wiki article : communities.bentley.com/.../11852.sewercad-gvf-convex-solver-vs-sewergemscivilstorm-implicit-and-explicit-dynamic-solvers-vs-stormcad-gvf-rational-solver will explain the differences between the different solvers that we offer in our Storm and Sewer products. Based on what you're asking it sounds like you should be considering SewerCAD (GVF Convex solver) or SewerGEMS (Implicit or SWMM(Explicit) solver). If you have a system that has more pumping or complicated pumping with a lot of controls you should consider using the SewerCAD - GVF Convex solver because it's better designed to handle pumping. It can run steady state calculation as well as extended period simulations. If you're looking for a fully dynamic solution that considers all overflows from the system with less pumping or less complicated pumping controls you should consider the Implicit solver in SewerGEMS or the SWMM solver. Our SewerGEMS software offers all of these solvers plus the capability to run the StormCAD - GVF Rational solver, which you don't need in this solution, but is worth mentioning. Regards, Mark
