Hi, Guys!
It is extremely convenient to have the option to define the units for a database source:
I can see that relative valve closure is present, and I can choose % or decimal.
Unfortunately the same does not work with variable speed pumps' relative speed factor, although I can match SCADA signals to a pump's relative speed factor, and generate control overrides based on that. My source data is in % instead of decimal values.
I couldn't edit the unit of relative speed factor in the units section.
Is there a workaround for this, which I missed? (An obvious solution would be to alter the values in excel, or elsewhere out of watercad, but I tried to handle it in place, without altering my source data)
Best regards,
Hello Attila,
Currently the relative speed factor is unitless, with 0 being zero speed and 1.0 meaning full speed. The ability to perform a transformation with a custom conversion factor is something we may consider for a future release. I have opened a Service Request on your behalf and linked it to the related Enhancement (#711211), so you are able to receive an alert if a new version is released with this feature.
In the meantime, the Excel processing workaround would be the solution.
I have also added a note about this to our wiki article SCADAConnect Simulator for WaterGEMS (V8i SELECTseries 6 and CONNECT edition)
